KJ’s Coffee Bar is nestled right in the heart of the historic Whittier Neighborhood in Denver, Colorado. KJ’s (as it’s known by its regulars) opened its doors back in 2008 by one of Whittier’s own. Today, it is still run by local owners who are made up of a neighbor, cousin, and a lifelong friend. The staff at KJ’s is known for their commitment to the store and to their customers. Whether you find them tending to KJ’s community garden or partaking in one of KJ’s many events, they’ll always greet you the same…with a smile. KJ’s unique combination of great organic coffee, fresh pastries, and burritos is mixed perfectly with its ability to treat you with a great bottle of wine or a cold beer while sitting on the beautiful patio. One of the owners, Shane Bailey, states, “That’s the great thing about KJ’s, we’re not just one thing. We have the ability to spread our service over many facets”.

KJ’s actively participates with Whittier and its surrounding neighborhoods. Whether it’s hosting community events, listening to the local musicians, or viewing its artist’s work, KJ's has become the heartbeat of its surroundings. Owner Roger Glas says, “It’s important for a neighborhood business to be in the business of the neighborhood. They are our customers, and we are here to serve them more than just great coffee and good wine.”
